The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) is pleased to announce that Ray Dempsey, Jr., has been elected as the organization's new Treasurer. Ray Dempsey is Vice President & Head of External Affairs for BP America and President of the BP Foundation. In this new position as Treasurer, Dempsey will oversee CHLI's finance committee and provide reports to the CHLI Board of Directors.
"I am honored to have been elected by my colleagues as CHLI's treasurer. I will do my best to assure the continuous success and growth of CHLI and its programs," Ray Dempsey, Jr., CHLI Board Member, said.
Dempsey serves on CHLI's Finance Committee and the Programs Committee. Throughout his career with BP America he has held a variety of management and operational roles including finance.
"It was an honor to work with Christopher Turner. His understanding of non-profit management elevated CHLI. I am looking forward to working with another great leader. Ray Dempsey has contributed a lot to our programs. He has experience as a non-profit treasurer so I look forward to his guidance," Mary Ann Gomez, CHLI Executive Director said.
