CHLI and FAES Announce Collaborative Relationship at CHLI Annual Gala

Washington, DC-based Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) and Spain-based Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis (FAES in Spanish)
To Announce Collaborative Relationship at CHLI Annual Gala May 13th
Washington, DC – Today, May 13, 2009, with the Former Prime Minister of Spain, José María Aznar, in Washington, DC to accept a prestigious award from the U.S. Hispanic community, the organization that he leads, the Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis (FAES), and the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) will announce a collaborative relationship.
The collaborative relationship will link the two not-for-profit organizations for the development of programs and the establishment of joint projects to benefit both organizations and build closer relations between the U.S. Hispanic community and Spain.
"This evening at our fifth annual gala and leadership dinner, CHLI will announce a new collaborative relationship with our friends in Spain – the Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis,” said CHLI founder and Chairman, Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart. "We are honored to work alongside such a prestigious organization led by a remarkable international statesman, José María Aznar.”
FAES Executive President José María Aznar will be honored by CHLI with its 2009 Leadership in International Relations Award this evening. This Award was established by CHLI to recognize leaders who work to deepen the relationship between U.S. Hispanics and the international community.
CHLI also will honor United States Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey with its CHLI 2009 Leadership in Public Service Award.
The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute's fifth Annual Leadership Awards Gala will be held tonight, Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 1330 Maryland Avenue, SW, Washington, D.C. 22024.
