Diverse Panel to Discuss Alternatives and Best Practices Evidenced by Non-Profit and Private Sectors to Reduce Health Care Disparities
What: As the national health reform debate culminates, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) and As the national health reform debate culminates, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) and Pfizer Helpful Answers will host a Congressional Briefing, Hispanics and Health Care Reform: Fostering Alternative Solutions and Best Practices. The session will bring together health policy leaders, Hispanic Alternative Solutions and Best Practices. The session will bring together health policy leaders, Hispanic community advocates, student leaders and young professionals to discuss solutions to the health concerns that confront Hispanic communities across the country. Special focus will be given to patient assistance programs available today, such as Pfizer Helpful Answers.

Given the high number of uninsured Hispanics today, this briefing provides an opportunity to highlight the leadership and efforts being made to address the serious health disparities before a diverse audience of key decision makers in the U.S. Senate and House, administration officials, public policy advocates, as well as other Hispanic community leaders.
