CHLI Congratulates Jose Jimenez, LISTA's Chief Diversity Officer of the Year 2012
Washington D.C., May 25, 2012- The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) is proud to recognize the extraordinary achievement of Jose Jimenez. Jose serves as the Chief Diversity officer for the Computer Science Corporation (CSC) and has been named the Chief Diversity Officer of the Year 2012 by the Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association (LISTA).
Jose was presented with the award at the Annual National TechLatino Achievers Awards Gala Dinner held in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday May 24, 2012. The award recognizes Jose's leadership and his ceaseless dedication to diversity and inclusion of the Latino community.
Jose Marquez-Leon, CEO of LISTA commended Jose and described him as "a natural fit for this award.” When asked about receiving this prestigious award, Jose Jimenez expressed his gratitude "It is a great honor to be recognized as Chief Diversity Officer of the year by LISTA. I hope we can use this award to highlight the business value of a diverse and inclusive workforce. Organizations that actively promote Hispanic IT professionals in industry and the public sector as well as Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education for our youth, are critical to our future. I am proud to be part of CSC, a company that recognizes the business value of diversity and inclusion is doing something about it in its actions and investments.”
