Founded in 2003, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit and non-partisan organization. CHLI is the premier organization founded by Members of Congress to advance the Hispanic Community’s Economic Progress with a focus on Social Responsibility and Global Competitiveness. 

In the spirit of CHLI's vision of advancing the Hispanic Community's issues and international affairs that affect U.S. global competitiveness. Special guests in the past include Alvaro Uribe, former President of Colombia; Juan Rodriguez Inciarte, U.S. – Spain Council; Alberto Moreno, President of the Inter-Development Bank and Governor John Engler, President of the Business Roundtable. 

The Symposium is spearheaded by CHLIs Vice-Chairmen Congressman Henry Cuella(TX-28) and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25). The CHLI Corporate Chairman is David Olivencia, Senior VP of Softtek. 

This year the event will be on Wednesday, September 14, from 11:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It will be hosted at The Rotunda located in the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center on 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W. Washington, D.C.
