Washington, D.C. - The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) launched its ‘Pillars of Progress’ tour at the Los Angeles City Club in Los Angeles, California, on August 29, 2017. The first stop of the tour convened distinguished civic and community leaders, experts in workforce development and student leaders to discuss educational opportunities, career strategy and tools for the economic advancement of U.S. Hispanics and Latinos.

Washington, D.C. - The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) will hold forums across the country as part of its Pillars of Progress tour. The tour will kick off at the Los Angeles City Club in Los Angeles, California, on August 29, 2017, and continue on to San Antonio, Texas, and then wrap up in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Washington, D.C – The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held their annual Vermillion Congressional Staff Appreciation Awards Reception, on July 20, 2017, hosted by CHLI Board Member, Ray Dempsey, Senior Vice President & Chief Diversity Officer, at BP America’s office in Washington, D.C. Each year, CHLI recognizes two outstanding senior Congressional Staff members, a Republican and a Democrat, for their service and dedication to their constituents and the Hispanic Community.
Washington, D.C. - The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held its annual Future Leaders Conference on Thursday, July 20, 2017, in Washington, D.C., at the Rayburn House Office Building. The CHLI Future Leaders Conference brought together congressional speakers and distinguished corporate executives to inspire and promote public service, leadership and entrepreneurship among today’s students. The Conference focused on career paths and the richness one’s diversity adds to the workplace.
Washington, D.C – The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held a Congressional Briefing on Freedom & Democracy for Venezuela, on July 19, 2017, at the Dirksen Senate Office Building. CHLI’s Briefing included bipartisan Congressional remarks from CHLI Chairman, The Honorable Lincoln Diaz-Balart, Senator Robert Menendez (NJ), Senator Marco Rubio (FL), Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL), and Congressman Carlos Curbelo (FL).
Washington, D.C – The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held a Congressional Briefing on Corporate Tax Reform and U.S. Global Competitiveness, on June 27, 2017, on Capitol Hill. The briefing is part of the CHLI Congressional Briefing Series, which aims to facilitate an in-depth dialogue with various perspectives on relevant legislative topics impacting the U.S. Hispanic community.
