Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, February 15th, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held a Congressional Briefing on the State of Personal Finances and Access to Capital on Capitol Hill. The briefing is part of the CHLI Congressional Briefing Series, which aims to facilitate an in-depth dialogue with various perspectives on relevant legislative topics impacting the U.S. Hispanic community.

Washington, D.C. - The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held its 6th annual Trade & International Affairs Symposium: Exploring New Horizons for Global Trade, on October 3, 2017, at The Embassy of Canada, in Washington, D.C. The CHLI Trade & International Affairs Symposium brings together international business leaders, experts on trade, members of the diplomatic community, foreign ministers and U.S. government officials to discuss trade issues and international affairs that affect U.S. global competitiveness.
As we wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month, we extend a heart filled thank you to one of CHLI’s key founders, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen was the first Hispanic woman ever elected to Congress. Having been born in Havana, Cuba, Ileana fled the oppressive Castro regime at the age of eight, with her family.
CHLI Community Relief and Recovery Efforts for Those Affected
Washington, D.C. — The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) extends its thoughts and prayers to the people of Puerto Rico. The CHLI community is supporting response and relief by providing aid to those affected by the Hurricanes.
Washington, D.C. - The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) launched its ‘Pillars of Progress’ tour at the Los Angeles City Club in Los Angeles, California, on August 29, 2017. The first stop of the tour convened distinguished civic and community leaders, experts in workforce development and student leaders to discuss educational opportunities, career strategy and tools for the economic advancement of U.S. Hispanics and Latinos.
