Major: Political Science and International Relation

Graduation Year: Summer 2019

Sara Garcia grew up in Santa Clarita, California, United States. She attends the University of California San Diego and majors in Political Science and International Relations. She is also in the process of obtaining a Minor in Linguistics and has an expected graduation date of June 2019. Sara is a member of College Republicans. Her future goals are to attend graduate school to pursue a Master’s Degree in Foreign Affairs or enter the workforce immediately after getting her diploma. Her passions include fighting for the causes she believes in, such as improving the relationship between Israel and the US, reforming immigration policy and promoting conservative values.

Major: International Studies and Anthropology

Graduation Year: Summer 2018

Ricardo Rauseo graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in International Studies and Anthropology. Also, he has a certificate in International Relations. He engages in issues such as migration, race, gender, and ethnicity. His passion and interest in global topics emerge from his international background and education. He was born in Caracas, Venezuela and at a young age, moved to Colombia where he lived for five years.  After that, he moved to Florida, and since then he has had the opportunity to study abroad in Canada, France, and Belgium. Living in these countries has given him “the opportunity to explore the many cultural differences and similarities and see how these affect global interactions.” His long-term goal is to work with the European External Action Service and to get a master's degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.

Major: Communications

Graduation Year: Summer 2018

Linoshka Luna Santiago is a college graduate from the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus in San Juan, PR. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising. While attending college, Linoshka took various classes on business administration, accounting, and marketing. In her sophomore year, she worked at the Bienhecho Group where she worked educating children as an executive assistant, managing activities, agendas and training. She is involved in the Arts; currently a member of the San Juan Drama Club, she worked as a director assistant and production manager where she coordinated rehearsals and was in charge of costumes, make-up, and others departments. After doing her final project at UPR on the effects of Hurricane Maria on the elderly population in Puerto Rico, she realized her calling. Through public policy, she wants to be able to develop proposals to better the quality of living of both young and old generations in the island.

Major: Political Science

Graduation Year: Fall 2017

Karen is a recent college graduate from Florida International University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus in European and Eurasian politics. While attending college, her passion for advocating for gender equality influenced her to write a research paper entailing of the trajectory of women in development in the European Union. Karen hopes to attend graduate school in the near future to pursue a Master’s degree in global development with a specialization in gender.




A 15 week internship program working in Congressional and corporate offices in Washington D.C.

Students will work on project-based programs that provide hands-on experience and also strengthen their understanding of public policy and will also earn academic credit hours from the George Washington University.

The program takes place in the spring and in the fall semester of each year.

Exposure to policy from many different lenses.

Fully-paid internship.

 Covers housing, round trip airfare, and a living/travel stipend.


Currently enrolled Junior or Senior, or be within one calendar year of their undergrad graduation date.

Must be fully available for program dates and complete the entire semester.
