CHLI Congratulates its Spring 2017 Global Leaders Graduates

Washington, D.C – On Tuesday, May 2, 2017, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held a Graduation Reception for its Spring 2017 Global Leaders at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. Every year the CHLI Global Leaders Program selects students from across the country and places them in a Congressional office for the first half of the semester and at a corporate office for the second half. During the length of their semester, students also earn academic credit from George Washington University. This semester’s Global Leaders were Dominique Espinoza, Fernando J. Washington, D.C – The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held its 13th Annual Gala & Leadership Awards: A Tribute to Freedom, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C. CHLI’s celebration of freedom honored two members of Congress, Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ) and Congressman Gerald "Gerry" Connolly (D-VA), with its Leadership in Public Service Award, and bestowed Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipient, Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet, with CHLI’s Leadership in International Relations Award. 2017 CHLI Alumni Association Annual Luncheon

Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute's (CHLI) Alumni Association held its Annual Luncheon, its first official since the CHLI Board of Directors approved the Association's charter back in December. The Luncheon was held at the AT&T Forum in Washington, D.C., and commenced with CHLI Board Member, Susan Santana, Esq., Assistant Vice President, Federal Relations for AT&T, welcoming the room of CHLI Alumni, "As a CHLI Board Member, I'm delighted to see the Alumni organize into an official organization, and I look forward to seeing it grow to its full potential and fill up this room next year!"
