Washington, D.C.– The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held its 2nd Annual CHLI Tech Talk on February 27, 2019, at the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center in Washington D.C. The Tech Talk is part of the CHLI Congressional Briefing Series, which facilitate in-depth dialogue with various perspectives on relevant legislative topics impacting the U.S. Hispanic community.
Panelists covered topics that touched on the various ways technology has impacted government, business, and society, and how innovations have improved the United States competitiveness. The conversation also covered the importance of artificial intelligence (A.I.) as well as the future of technology.

Washington, D.C. – The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held its New Congress Welcome Reception on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, hosted by CHLI Treasurer John Hoel at Altria Client Services. Present at the reception were senior and new Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle, and CHLI’s Board of Directors, CHLI Advisory Council Members, national Hispanic leaders, corporate executives, international representatives, and other friends.

Washington, D.C. - The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) is honored to announce that CHLI founder, The Honorable Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, will continue to serve on the CHLI Board, and that, in addition, she will chair CHLI’s “We Belong” Scholarship Campaign.
Since the founding of CHLI in 2003, approximately 200 Hispanic college students have shared the CHLI internship or fellowship experience. The CHLI Global Leaders program provides hands-on experience to help Hispanic college students become future leaders.

The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) 2019 Spring Global Leaders kicked off orientation week at American Beverage Association. CHLI Director of Programs & External Affairs, Juan Negron, welcomed the group and introduced CHLI's team, mission, and guided them through their 15-week long fellowship program. CHLI's Creative Communication & Marketing Manager, Michelle Archilla, spoke to the group about interacting through social media and engaging with followers throughout the semester, to share their CHLI experience. They later met with CHLI Senior Advisor, Stephen Halloway, for a conversation at The World Bank.
WASHINGTON, Jan. 14 /CSRwire/ - The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) is pleased to announce that the HACR board of directors elected Mary Ann Gomez Orta as the new board chair. Gomez Orta, who is the president & CEO of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) will serve for a two-year term effective January 1, 2019. She succeeds Ignacio Salazar, president & CEO of SER-Jobs for Progress, who served as board chair since 2015, and will continue to serve on the board executive committee through December 31, 2019, and will remain on the full board of directors.
