Nigel Stephens is the Director of Government Relations for Accenture Federal Services (AFS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Accenture LLP, a U.S. company. AFS serves clients in civilian, defense, intelligence and public safety agencies. Mr. Stephens oversees every aspect of the government relations program including setting strategic direction, brand awareness in the marketplace, policy and advocacy. In this role, he also serves as the firm’s primary liaison with members of Congress, service and technology industry associations, regulators and other policy makers. Additionally, he serves on the Accenture Federal Services Leadership Team and manages Accenture Federal Services compliance programs for federal election and lobbying disclosure laws.

Prior to becoming the Director of Government Relations, Nigel served as the Senior Manager for Federal Government Relations, supporting the Civilian and Public Safety portfolios.

With over 20 years of experience on Capitol Hill, on political campaigns, and in the private sector, he has developed extensive relationships, access, and a strong reputation with federal regulatory agencies and Members and top staffers in both Chambers of the US Congress.   

Nigel also serves on the Board of Directors of SCORE, a non-profit organization and national partner to the U.S. Small Business Administration, and on the Board of Directors of the Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington D.C.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Towson University, a master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University, a Certificate in Financial Management from Georgetown University, and a MBA from the University of Maryland University College.
